Stephen A. Gordon | Frederick G. Tobin | Arthur M. Read, II

Frederick G. Tobin practices in the areas of complicated real estate transactions, zoning, commercial and business matters, civil litigation, education law, zoning and municipal law. His practice regularly ranges from representing first-time homebuyers to representing large commercial developments. He can be found fighting on behalf of parents with regard to the special educational needs of their children or on behalf of school committees.

A former President of the Coventry Town Council, Mr. Tobin is an expert in education law.

A former Coventry Town Solicitor and currently Assistant Town Solicitor he serves as the Solicitor for the Coventry, Rhode Island School Committee and is frequently asked to serve as Special Counsel to other Rhode Island school committees on selected issues.

A 1969 graduate of the University of Rhode Island and 1972 graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, Mr. Tobin is the father of four and lives with his wife in Coventry, Rhode Island.

Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Tobin was selected to Clerk for the Rhode Island Family, Superior and District Courts. Thereafter, he was an Associate with the Providence law firm of Grilli, DiMaio, and, then, was a Partner in the law firms of Cipriano & Zoglio, Andrews & Tobin, Zoglio and Tobin, Corrente and Grossi and, now, Gordon, Tobin & Read of which he has served as its Managing Partner.

Like his partners, Mr. Tobin is also active in civic affairs having served as the President of the Coventry Town Council, a member of the Coventry Jaycees, a member of the Pawtuxet Valley Rotary Club, he coached and was a member and officer of the Coventry Girls Softball League, was a coach, member and officer of the Coventry PAL Soccer Association, is a member of King Solomon Lodge A.F.&A.M., was a coach and member of the Coventry Basketball Association, a member of the Coventry High School Building Committee and was a member of the Coventry Elementary School's additions building committee.

An avid golfer, Mr. Tobin and his wife, Donna, are the parents of four daughters and reside in Coventry, Rhode Island.
